History
MLS Systems was founded in 1979 as Midwest Laser Systems,
designing and manufacturing custom laser machinery and resistance welding
machinery. Shortly thereafter, MLS Systems expanded their capabilities and began
design and production of automated multi station manufacturing, assembly,
and material working and handling machinery. As a result of increased
capabilities, MLS Systems found it necessary to expand its manufacturing
facility in the 1980s. Growing capabilities and experience as well as the
purchase of Feldman Inc. required additional expansions to manufacturing,
administrative and engineering in the 1990s. Currently MLS Systems has the capability and
facilities to accommodate multiple large projects as well as smaller
projects simultaneously and is looking forward to our next expansion.
MLS Systems has proven itself as an industry leader in the design and
manufacture of custom high quality equipment and automation solutions for
over 25 years to many of today’s blue chip manufacturers. Our experience in
Concept, Development, Process and Applications enables MLS Systems to provide the
right equipment for your needs and budget to help you manufacture your
product to the tight tolerances today’s industry and consumer demands.
MLS Systems Applications Engineering department is experienced in working
with major manufacturers build and design specifications and regulations.

Applications Engineers that will work with you through every detail of your
project from concept and development to qualification and runoff on your

in software for PLC, PC controlled systems, and integration to factory
information systems when designing your equipment.
MLS Systems Mechanical Engineers are experienced in numerous design formats
and use the latest in CAD and 3D software to concept and design mechanical
details, pneumatics, and hydraulics systems for your equipment.
MLS Systems takes great pride in our excellent on time delivery record and
has dedicated project managers to keep your project on track. Our close
customer support throughout every phase of your project, many years of
experience, and certified in house CMM for development, setup and
qualification all take part in making your project successful. Our
partnership with component suppliers and as a Parker Automation Partner
allows MLS Systems to be your single source of contact for your equipment
and to pass on savings, warranties and extended warranties when available.
